NFL Week Seven Predictions

Cincinnati Bengals @ Atlanta Falcons

I really want to take Cinci here as the Falcons have shown they can get beat by the run, but I do not trust that Cinci defense just yet and Carson Palmer is struggling mightily.
Prediction: Falcons

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Miami Dolphins

I should be a little more careful here with Miami at home and just coming off a game where they shut down one of the league's best runners, but between that Steelers' defense and Big Ben I have to go with Pittsburgh.
Prediction: Steelers

Buffalo Bills @ Baltimore Ravens

Five down, eleven to go.
Prediction: Ravens

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Kansas City Chiefs

It's hard to go against a team like the Jaguars that has played hard against the likes of Indy, especially through the air, but with KC's run game firing on all cylinders and the cats getting gouged on the ground I have to take the Chiefs.  This is my sleeper of the week.
Prediction: Chiefs

Cleveland Browns @ New Orleans Saints

Cleveland might pull a surprise out, but I wouldn't count on it.
Prediction: Saints

Washington Redskins @ Chicago Bears

Seeing Washington roll on Indy like that and the Bears falter against the Seahawks, I don't have much hope for this game.  Unless we can cover Washington's receivers and keep Donovan McNabb contained it's going to be a long game.
Prediction: Redskins

San Francisco 49ers @ Carolina Panthers

Both teams have been bad this season, but the Panthers look worse.  They're porous against the run, and the Niners have Frank Gore.
Prediction: 49ers

St. Louis Rams @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

As I said, the Bucs have become a one-dimensional team.  The Rams showed vulnerability against the Lions, but I expect they should have no problems gouging this Bucs' defense.
Prediction: Rams

Philadelphia Eagles @ Tennessee Titans

The Eagles are allowing over 100 yards rushing per game, and their secondary has been coming away with key turnovers.  Everyone's been waiting for a huge game by Chris Johnson, this could be it.  This is my game of the week.
Prediction: Titans

Arizona Cardinals @ Seattle Seahawks

Arizona is close to last in the league in sacks allowed, if Seattle plays anywhere near as well in that department as they did against the Bears then they should come away with a win.  The Cards have some playmakers and the Hawks will probably have to open up their passing game a bit, but with homefield advantage I'm taking Seattle.
Prediction: Seahawks

New England Patriots @ San Diego Chargers

The Chargers are struggling, the Pats are hitting their stride, no way San Diego gets back on track against this tough of an opponent.
Prediction: Patriots

Oakland Raiders @ Denver Broncos

The Broncos' red zone woes should be solved with a struggling defense and turnover-prone offense coming to town.
Prediction: Broncos

Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers

This is a tough one, both teams have passing attacks that have stalled at times but still feature playmakers.  Both teams have defenses that have been good against the run in the past.  The Vikings have AP, though, and the Packers are without a standout rusher.  I almost give them the edge based on secondary, but I think Favre, Moss, and the Vikings pull out a close one.  This is my upset of the week.
Prediction: Vikings

New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys

The Giants are allowing a ton of points per game through the air, but not giving up yards.  The Cowboys are gaining a lot of yards per game through the air, but not scoring points.  Something's gotta give, but it's hard to tell what.  The Giants' pass rush is good, their running game is getting going, and they're playing well as a team while the Cowboys are struggling.  I have to go with the Giants.
Prediction: Giants
