NFL Week Eight Predictions

Denver Broncos @ San Francisco 49ers

It's hard to pick the Broncos after last week's thrashing, but it's even harder to pick the Niners after they dropped a game to a team that is arguably the worst in football.
Prediction: 49ers

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Dallas Cowboys

The Jaguars are porous against the pass, and even worse against the run.  The Cowboys might be missing their starting QB, but their running game should get going in a big way against the Jaguars' D.
Prediction: Cowboys

Miami Dolphins @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Dolphins just had a tough, hard-fought loss against the Steelers, they're on a down streak that has to turn around eventually, and they're not playing at home.  That all equates to an advantage for them, and I say the Bengals' troubles continue.
Prediction: Dolphins

Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs

I almost want to take the upset here, but the Chiefs are on a roll and I don't believe they'll allow the Bills to get their first win.  Six down, eleven to go.
Prediction: Chiefs

Washington Redskins @ Detroit Lions

I wanted to take the Lions to beat the team they got their first win against last season, but with all the injuries they have I don't think they can overcome the Skins.
Prediction: Redskins

Carolina Panthers @ St. Louis Rams

The Rams couldn't possibly drop two straight to two bad teams after that start they had, can they?  Nah, they won't...probably.
Prediction: Rams

Green Bay Packers @ New York Jets

Despite a win last week, the Packers are still injured and struggling.  They'll continue to struggle against a team like the Jets.
Prediction: Jets

Tennessee Titans @ San Diego Chargers

The Chargers are solid against the run and Tennessee gives up a lot of yards against the pass.  The thing that could kill the Chargers is mistakes, but I think with the return of Vincent Jackson the mistakes will go down and the Chargers end their losing streak.  This is my game of the week.
Prediction: Chargers

Minnesota Vikings @ New England Patriots

This homecoming is going to be a rough one for Randy Moss, New England isn't the greatest team to face when you're on a losing streak.
Prediction: Patriots

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Arizona Cardinals

The key stat in this game is passing, with both teams struggling running the ball.  Tampa had a breakout performance last week from LeGarrette Blount, though, so they win in that department.  Josh Freeman outperforms Max Hall, and the Bucs pick up a win.
Prediction: Buccaneers

Seattle Seahawks @ Oakland Raiders

This could be a close game, but the Raiders are bad in allowing point through the air and I think the Seahawks are able to air it out.  This is my sleeper of the week.
Prediction: Seahawks

Pittsburgh Steelers @ New Orleans Saints

This really is who dat football, as in who dat team on the field?  Not the team that won the Superbowl last year.  Look out Saints, the Steelers are rolling.
Prediction: Steelers

Houston Texans @ Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are really going to struggle without Dallas Clark.  They're banged up across the board, and I expect Houston to sweep them for the first time in history.  This is my upset of the week.
Prediction: Texans
